Slide Job Racing will start the 2009 season racing with The Arizona Midget Racing Association. With the recent purchase of an Ellis midget we have been getting our ducks in line so we can run the full schedule with the club. We have gotten some financial backing from several of our sponsors in order to make this a reality and it has proven to be a real blessing. Joe Fontana with Fontana Automotive has provided us with a real nice piece for a powerplant for the season. Glad to have you on board Mr. Fontana! We are looking forward to getting our motor stuffed into the car and hitting up a practice session before the season starts on March 7th. It has been a dream since childhood to run with the midgets, so anxiety is at it's highest. Thanks for your interest in SLIDE JOB RACING! See you at Manzy on the 7th. God bless |

We are on our way out to practice with the micros tonight. Non Wing is the way it is. Ronnie Smith is here to wheel the 00 car around at Canyon Speedway Park for a Saturday and Sunday double header. We are getting the micros ready for a little bit of winter racing out at Canyon Speedway Park. There are 4 dates that span over 3 weekends. Slide Job Racing's good friend Ronnie Smith of Los Lunas New Mexico will be flying in to shoe the 10 car. We need to see if we can get some of these bugs out of the dormant micro operation. The dates are as follows.... 1/31/09, 2/7/09, 2/8/09, and 2/14/09. These are daytime races that start at 1pm. We will make sure we put on a good show in our Gordon Seros Powered Sawyer Chassis'. The 2009 Race schedule is still up in the air. The sprint car schedule will primarily be ran with ASCA in order to contend for Rookie of the Year and Championship honors. As far as the Micros go..... we are planning on only hitting a few of the bigger shows back east. We are not sure if we will be heading to Pennsylvania for the speed weeks or heading to Arkansas for the Race For Life 10k show. If we still have a 2 car micro team, Ronnie Smith will be behind the wheel of one of the cars at which ever event it is that we attend. We have been in the talks with Tom Jones about driving his dwarf car a few times throughout the 2009 season as well. Check back soon to see if we can fit some of Canyon Speedway Park as well as Speedworld Raceway's winter schedules into our plans. Thank you for your interest in SLIDE JOB RACING! |

| Gassing it up in Tom Jones' Dwarf car at the Dwarf Car Nationals at Manzanita on November 21, 2008. We Transferred from the back of the "C" main to the "A" and made a run from 24th to 14th. Thanks to Tom Jones for letting all of us at SLIDE JOB RACING participate in this awesome race. | |
